1) Who we are
FurrBabiLicious (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website and when you contact us.
2) Our website platform (Wix)
Our website is hosted on Wix.com. Wix provides the online platform that allows us to sell products and services to you and may process personal data on our behalf (for example, to host pages, manage store functionality, and provide site features).
Your data may be stored through Wix’s data storage, databases, and general Wix applications. Wix stores data on secure servers behind a firewall.
3) Personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
  • Identity & contact details: name, billing/delivery address, email address, phone number
  • Order & account details: purchases, order history, account details, customer service messages
  • Payment information: online card payments via Wix Payments; PayPal; Klarna; Zilch; and in-person/pay-on-collection card payments via Tide (we do not store full card details)
  • Technical & usage data: IP address, device/browser information, cookies, and site usage
  • Marketing preferences: your opt-in/opt-out choices
  • Optional pet-related preferences: e.g., the pet you’re buying for (only if you choose to tell us)
We do not intentionally collect special category data (e.g., health information). Please avoid sharing sensitive personal data with us.
4) Where we get your data from
  • Directly from you when you place an order (online or in person), create an account, subscribe, or contact us
  • Automatically from your device/browser when you use our website (cookies and similar technologies)
  • From service providers involved in your transaction (e.g., payment confirmation and delivery updates)
5) Why we use your data (purposes and lawful bases)
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for processing. We use personal data for:
A) To fulfil orders and provide services (Contract)
  • Process orders, payments, delivery, returns and refunds
  • Provide customer service relating to your purchase
B) To comply with legal obligations (Legal obligation)
  • Maintain appropriate records for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes
  • Handle complaints and any legal claims
C) To run and protect our business (Legitimate interests)
  • Prevent fraud and protect our customers, business and website
  • Improve website performance and customer experience
  • Maintain basic records of customer service interactions and resolutions
D) Marketing (Consent and/or “soft opt-in” where permitted)
  • Send marketing emails/texts only where you have opted in, or where the law permits marketing to existing customers under the “soft opt-in” rules (with a clear opt-out at collection and in every message)
6) Who we share data with
We share personal data only where necessary with trusted providers, including:
  • Wix (hosting, ecommerce platform, site tools)
  • Payment providers: Wix Payments (online card), PayPal, Klarna, Zilch, and Tide (and/or its payment processing partners) for in-person/pay-on-collection card payments
  • Delivery partners/couriers (to deliver your order and provide tracking/updates)
  • Email/SMS providers (order confirmations/updates and marketing where applicable)
  • Professional advisers (accountants, insurers, legal advisers)
  • Authorities/law enforcement where required by law or to protect rights and safety
If you choose Klarna or Zilch, they may process your data as an independent controller for their services under their own privacy notices and terms (including eligibility checks and, where applicable, credit checks).
7) International transfers
Some service providers may store or process personal data outside the UK. Where this involves a restricted transfer, we ensure appropriate safeguards are used (for example, UK-approved contractual protections or other lawful safeguards).
8) How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal and accounting requirements. Typical retention periods:
  • Order and tax records: usually up to 6 years
  • Customer service correspondence: typically [12–24 months] unless needed longer for a dispute
  • Marketing records: until you unsubscribe/opt out (we keep a minimal suppression record to honour your preferences)
9) Your rights
You have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and (in some cases) portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise your rights, contact: privacy@furrbabilicious.co.uk.
10) Marketing preferences
You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. We will always respect opt-out requests.
11) Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, remember preferences, understand site usage, and (where enabled) support marketing features. You can manage cookie preferences via our cookie banner/settings. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
12) If you don’t provide data
Some data is required to process your order and deliver items (for example, name, delivery address, and payment confirmation). If you do not provide required information, we may be unable to complete your purchase or provide customer support related to it.
13) Children
Our website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
14) Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. (Note: Klarna/Zilch may use their own automated checks for eligibility as part of their services—see their privacy notices.)
15) Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first and we’ll do our best to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
16) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website, with the “Last updated” date shown at the top.
